见到自己心爱的母牛站在院中,尚未挤奶,那位大圣者疲惫而忧闷,开口说道,欲为其挤乳。
Suta Goswami (narrator, conveying the episode to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It highlights dharmic attentiveness: even a sage feels concern when a rightful duty is left undone. In Shaiva thought, such mindful responsibility can become seva offered to Pati (Shiva) when performed without ego.
Though the verse is domestic in setting, it supports the Shiva Purana’s teaching that Saguna Shiva is approached through disciplined, sattvic living—turning ordinary actions into reverent service that prepares the mind for Linga worship.
The takeaway is mindful karma-yoga: perform daily duties with purity and remembrance—mentally repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while acting—so action becomes worship.
