The Recital/Teaching of the Thousand Names of Śiva
प्रणवः सत्पथाचारो महाकोशो महाधनः । जन्माधिपो महा देवः सकलागमपारगः
praṇavaḥ satpathācāro mahākośo mahādhanaḥ | janmādhipo mahā devaḥ sakalāgamapāragaḥ
祂即是圣音“普罗那瓦”(Praṇava,唵 Oṁ)本身;祂即是真道之行持。祂是大宝藏,是至上财富。祂是生起与一切有身存在之主;祂是摩诃提婆(Mahādeva),已渡越一切阿伽摩(Āgama,启示圣典)之彼岸者。

The verse identifies Śiva as Praṇava (Oṁ) and as the very principle of righteous practice, teaching that liberation arises by aligning one’s life with the true path rooted in Śiva, who is the ultimate wealth and the Lord beyond the cycle of birth.
Calling Śiva the Praṇava and the master of all Āgamas supports Āgamic, Saguna worship—especially Linga-upāsanā—where Oṁ and Śiva-mantras sanctify the ritual and reveal the formless truth through a worshipable form.
Japa and contemplation of Oṁ (Praṇava) and Śiva-mantra (notably the Pañcākṣarī, “Oṁ Namaḥ Śivāya”), coupled with satpatha-ācāra (ethical, disciplined living), is the implied practice.
