It distinguishes stored karma (sañcita) from the portion already set in motion (prārabdha) that must be lived through the present embodiment, clarifying how bondage (pāśa) operates until Shiva’s grace and right knowledge loosen it.
Linga-worship and devotion to Saguna Shiva cultivate purity, surrender, and Shiva’s grace, which burns or attenuates accumulated karmas (sañcita) and redirects the soul toward liberation, even as prārabdha continues until the body’s term completes.
Steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa supports endurance of prārabdha with equanimity and devotion, while turning the mind toward Shiva for release from deeper karmic bondage.
