Lord Shiva (teaching the proper Shaiva ritual discipline within the Kailasa Saṃhitā context)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Role: teaching
It teaches that outer Shaiva marks like bhasma become spiritually effective when joined with inner consecration (nyāsa), leading to the growth of śivabhāva—steady Shiva-centered awareness that matures toward liberation.
Bhasma-dhāraṇa and nyāsa prepare the devotee’s body-mind as a fit vessel for Saguna Shiva worship (including Liṅga-pūjā), aligning the practitioner’s limbs and senses to the presence of Shiva before offering worship.
Apply bhasma according to the previously taught procedure (commonly Tripuṇḍra), then perform nyāsa (mantra placements on body parts) to internalize Shiva and intensify meditative Shiva-consciousness.
