阿耆尼(Agni)因人之柴薪而觉醒,应和曙光(Uṣas)如母牛趋向犊子般前来;如疾驰骏马,奋伸向前,他的光辉奔流,直趋天界。

我们颂赞那伟大的净化者、唤醒者;在迷乱之中而不迷乱;建立城垒与坚固居所者,由赞歌引领前行。阿耆尼啊,请在我们心中安置适于祭献的思念(dhī);其焰为财富之光,如黄髯者披甲而立。

शुक्रं ते अन्यद्यजतं ते अन्यद्विषुरूपे अहनी द्यौरिवासि विश्वा हि माया अवसि स्वधावन्भद्रा ते पूषन्निह रातिरस्तु

你的一相光辉灿然,你的另一相可爱而可敬;你具多样之形,如天穹在昼与夜中显现。因你以一切神力护佑,噢具svadhā(自力、祭享之力)者;愿你吉祥的赐予,噢Pūṣan(普善、护路者),就在此处降临。

自古以来,阿耆尼啊,你摧灭夜行魔众——夜叉陀那(Yātudhāna);罗刹(Rākṣasa)在战阵中未曾胜过你。并且焚尽那食肉者(kayāda)及其形体;愿他们不由你神圣的武器而得脱。
