Agni
这首简短的阿耆尼赞歌是一篇护佑祈祷：诗人祈求阿耆尼成为祭祀者最近的临在（antama），并作坚固的庇护与护卫（varūthya）。他呼请阿耆尼醒起，垂听呼唤，扩展其守护之力，并从敌对的恶意中拯救共同体。赞歌末尾祈求阿耆尼赐下恩惠与吉祥的安宁，使从事神圣事业的同伴得享福祉。

अग्ने त्वं नो अन्तम उत त्राता शिवो भवा वरूथ्यः ॥
噢阿耆尼（Agni），愿你为我们最近之内在者，亦为护佑者；愿你对我们成为吉祥，成为真实的庇护之力。
Mantra 2
वसुरग्निर्वसुश्रवा अच्छा नक्षि द्युमत्तमं रयिं दाः ॥
阿耆尼（Agni）为瓦苏（Vasu）——善与光明之主，且以善名而闻；愿你径直来到我们这里，赐予最为光耀的财富（rayi）。

स नो बोधि श्रुधी हवमुरुष्या णो अघायतः समस्मात् ॥
愿你为我们醒觉，垂听此呼唤；广施护佑，救我们脱离那欲加害者——脱离那恶意。

तं त्वा शोचिष्ठ दीदिवः सुम्नाय नूनमीमहे सखिभ्यः ॥
你——至辉煌者，常自照耀——我们今为求恩惠与吉祥而祈求你，也为同工的伙伴而求。
