अव क्रन्द दक्षिणतो गृहाणां सुमङ्गलो भद्रवादी शकुन्ते । मा नः स्तेन ईशत माघशंसो बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥

Transliteration

áva kranda dakṣiṇató gṛhā́ṇāṃ sumaṅgaló bhadravādī́ śakunte | mā́ naḥ stená ī́śata mā́ aghaśáṃso bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||

Translation

吉祥的鸟啊，善言者啊，请从我等居处的右方为我等啼鸣。愿无盗贼之主宰来辖制我等，愿无恶声之力得以逞行。愿我等在祭会（vidatha）中宣说“广大”（Bṛhat），并得具足英雄之力（suvīra）。
