这首简短的护佑赞歌祈请阿耆尼为“罗刹诃”(诛灭敌对与祟害者),以梵力(brahman)加持,驱逐一种令人消耗、名号不祥的邪祟——人们相信它侵入子宫,威胁受孕与后嗣。诗中点出多种侵入方式:在外潜伏、在阴道(yoni)内潜行,以及借梦境与黑暗施迷惑;并反复命令驱除之力将危险赶走。此颂作为驱邪与疗愈的祈祷,旨在守护生育、妊娠与家族血脉的延续。

ब्रह्मणाग्निः संविदानो रक्षोहा बाधतामितः । अमीवा यस्ते गर्भं दुर्णामा योनिमाशये ॥
愿以梵力(brahman)之威,阿耆尼(Agni)——在正知中全然警觉、诛灭罗刹者——从此处驱逐那耗损之祸:它以恶名潜伏于你的胎中,卧于产门之所(yoni)。
Mantra 2
यस्ते गर्भममीवा दुर्णामा योनिमाशये । अग्निष्टं ब्रह्मणा सह निष्क्रव्यादमनीनशत् ॥
那耗损之祸,恶名者,潜伏于你的胎中,栖于子宫(yoni)——阿耆尼(Agni)与梵力(brahman)同在,已将其逐出,碾碎驱散;他如吞噬生腥与腐败者,使之不得存留。

यस्ते हन्ति पतयन्तं निषत्स्नुं यः सरीसृपम् । जातं यस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि ॥
凡击落那将欲振翼者,凡伤害那尚在安顿生命者,凡侵袭那匍匐生长者;凡欲杀你所生者——我们从此处灭绝其人。

यस्त ऊरू विहरत्यन्तरा दम्पती शये । योनिं यो अन्तरारेळ्हि तमितो नाशयामसि ॥
凡在你两股之间游走者,卧于夫妇之间者;凡自内潜入子宫之胎室者——此人,我等从此处灭除。

यस्त्वा भ्राता पतिर्भूत्वा जारो भूत्वा निपद्यते । प्रजां यस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि ॥
凡伪装而近你者——化作“兄弟”,化作“丈夫”,化作“情郎”而伏近;凡欲戕害你子嗣者——此人,我等从此处灭除。

यस्त्वा स्वप्नेन तमसा मोहयित्वा निपद्यते । प्रजां यस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि ॥
凡以梦与黑暗迷惑你而伏近者;凡欲戕害你子嗣者——此人,我等从此处灭除。
It is a protective healing hymn that calls on Agni, strengthened by sacred speech (brahman), to drive away a wasting affliction or hostile presence thought to have entered the womb and to safeguard future offspring.
Because the ritual aim is fertility and safe continuation of the family line. The sukta treats threats to conception and pregnancy as something that can be expelled through Agni and mantra.
Typically alongside a fire rite: the household fire is kindled, oblations like ghee are offered, and the verses are recited as a banishing prayer to remove harm and re-establish protection around the couple and the womb.
