Counsel of the Rakshasa Court to Ravana

sumahat kadanaṃ kṛtvā vaśyas te dhanadaḥ kṛtaḥ ||6.7.6||
居于凯拉萨(Kailāsa)峰顶、为众多夜叉(Yakṣa)环绕的俱毗罗(Dhanada),在你造成大杀戮之后,也被你降伏。
The verse points to domination achieved through violence; the Dharmic teaching is that rule gained by harm and coercion is unstable and morally corrupting, inviting eventual retribution.
The counselors recall Rāvaṇa’s subjugation of Kubera to amplify his sense of invincibility.
The counselors praise force; the epic’s virtue in contrast is self-restraint (dama) and respect for rightful order.
