“因陀罗吉特已在战场上诛杀罗摩与罗什曼那。将毗提希扶上普什帕迦天车,带她去看二人战场伏尸。”
"Rama and Lakshmana are killed by Indrajith in war. Take Vaidehi in the aerial car and show her."
The verse highlights adharma through deliberate deception: using false appearances to crush another’s faith. By contrast, Ramayana dharma upholds truth (satya) and righteous means, especially toward the vulnerable.
Rāvaṇa orders his men to take Sītā in the Puṣpaka chariot and show her a staged scene that Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa have been killed by Indrajit, aiming to break her resolve.
Sītā’s steadfast fidelity is the implied target: the plot exists because her loyalty and moral firmness have not been shaken by threats alone.
