在门楼台地中央,他们久战摔跤;二人以凶猛之势一次又一次将对方举起抛掷,身形屈伸、步伐移换,却仍牢牢立于楼台之上。
Sugriva and Ravana, their bodies sweating all over, bodies coloured red with blood looking like red silk cotton trees, their bodies clinging together interlocked with each other stood motionless. They were fighting with their fists, palms and blows of forearms, hurting each other with nails and carrying out unbearable forms of war.
Dharma is reflected as sustained effort (dhairya) in fulfilling one’s pledged role; the ally does not falter even in prolonged, exhausting struggle.
The duel continues on the gate-tower terrace; the combatants wrestle, lift, throw, and reposition with practiced footwork.
Perseverance and trained discipline in combat.
