Saramā Consoles Sītā; Preparations in Laṅkā
ससम्भ्रान्तश्चनिष्क्रान्तोयत्कृतेराक्षसाधिपः ।तच्चमेविदितंसर्वमभिनिष्क्रम्यमैथिलि:।। ।।
sasambhrāntaś ca niṣkrānto yatkṛte rākṣasādhipaḥ | tac ca me viditaṃ sarvam abhiniṣkramya maithili ||
噢,迈提利啊,我已尽知罗刹之主为何惊惶而出,又为何转身返回。
"O Mythili! I know all about why the king of Rakshasas returned back agitated."
Truthful reassurance: Saramā speaks with clarity and honesty to reduce Sītā’s fear, showing that dharma includes compassionate speech grounded in facts (satya).
In Laṅkā, Saramā informs Sītā that she understands why Rāvaṇa left in agitation and why he returned, implying she has observed or learned his motives.
Saramā’s empathy and reliability—she uses knowledge to console, modeling supportive conduct toward one who is suffering.
