विभीषणागमनम्
Vibhīṣaṇa’s Arrival and the Debate on Refuge
इत्येवंपरिपृष्टास्तेस्वंस्वंमतमतन्द्रिताः ।सोपचारंतदाराममूचुर्हितचिकीर्षवः ।।6.17.34।।
ity evaṁ paripṛṣṭās te svaṁ svaṁ matam atandritāḥ |
sopacāraṁ tadā rāmam ūcur hitacikīrṣavaḥ ||6.17.34||
于是他们被如此询问后,皆不懈怠、志在有益,便以礼敬之心对罗摩陈言,各自道出深思之见。
The Vanaras having heard the words spoken by Rama in that way, tendered beneficial advice and their own opinion respectfully, to be vigilant.
Dharma in governance includes respectful consultation: advisers must speak with courtesy and aim at hita (the good), not personal victory.
After Rāma invites counsel about Vibhīṣaṇa, the vānaras respond with vigilant, respectful advice.
