मधुवनभङ्गः
The Disruption of Madhuvana and Dadhimukha’s Complaint
हनूमता दत्तवरैर्हतं मधुवनं बलात्।वयं च जानुभिः कृष्टा देवमार्गं च दर्शिताः।।5.62.17।।
hanūmatā dattavarair hataṃ madhuvanaṃ balāt | vayaṃ ca jānubhiḥ kṛṣṭā devamārgaṃ ca darśitāḥ ||5.62.17||
在哈奴曼的许可之下,他们强行毁坏了蜜林(Madhuvana);我们也被拖着跪行,并遭受了不堪入目的羞辱性示众。
Permitted by Hanuman (to enter Madhuvanam and drink), they dragged one another forcefully tossed up on their knees showing their private parts.
Permission from a leader does not justify adharmic excess; authority must be exercised with accountability and within moral limits.
The guards explain to Dadhimukha that the vānaras claim authorization connected with Hanumān and have both damaged the grove and insulted the watchmen.
Accountability in leadership is implicitly emphasized: actions done ‘under permission’ still bear moral responsibility.
