噢,弥提利啊,在那猴族所属的那片土地上,我因风神之力而生;又凭我自身的功业,世间称我为“哈奴曼”。
"O Mythili! I was born in that land retrieved by the Wind-god. I am known as Hanuman by virtue of my own action.
True honor rests on action: fame should arise from one’s own karma (responsible deeds), not merely from birth—an ethic of earned virtue aligned with dharma.
Hanuman states his origin (connected to Vāta) and explains that his renown is due to his conduct, strengthening Sita’s trust.
Accountability and merit—Hanuman highlights deeds and service rather than boasting of status.
