अङ्गदोपदेशः समुद्रदर्शन-विषादश्च
Angada’s Counsel and the Vanaras’ Despondency at the Ocean
कस्य प्रभावाद्धारांश्च पुत्रांश्चैव गृहाणि च।इतो निवृत्ताः पश्येम सिद्धार्थास्सुखिनो वयम्।।।।
kasya prabhāvād dārāṃś ca putrāṃś caiva gṛhāṇi ca | ito nivṛttāḥ paśyema siddhārthāḥ sukhino vayam ||
“凭借谁的威力与成就,我们才能功成自此归返,使我们欢喜再见妻子、儿子与家园?”
On hearing the words of Sampati, the monkeys felt glad and, eager to see Sita, reached the ocean, the passage to the abode of Ravana.
Duty enables rightful happiness: personal peace (family and home) is ethically attained after fulfilling one’s entrusted responsibility.
Aṅgada appeals to the vānaras’ longing for home, tying their safe return to the successful completion of the mission.
