Aṅgada Re-energizes the Southern Search Party
ते शारदाभ्रप्रतिमं श्रीमद्रजतपर्वतम्।शृङ्गवन्तं दरीमन्तमधिरुह्य च वानराः।।।।तत्र लोध्रवनं रम्यं सप्तपर्णवनानि च।व्यचिन्वंस्ते हरिवरास्सीता दर्शनकाङ्क्षिणः।।।।
te śāradābhrapratimaṃ śrīmadrajataparvataṃ | śṛṅgavantaṃ darīmantaṃ adhiruhya ca vānarāḥ || tatra lodhravanaṃ ramyaṃ saptaparṇavanāni ca | vyacinvaṃs te harivarāḥ sītādarśanakāṅkṣiṇaḥ ||
为求得见悉多,诸位最杰出的猿将登上庄严的银山;其色如秋云,峰峦耸立,洞窟纵横。到那里,他们又搜寻了可爱的洛陀罗林与七叶树(saptaparṇa)树林。
Eager to find Sita, the best of monkeys climbed the silver mountain rich with peaks and caverns resembling the autumnal clouds. And looked out into the Lodhra grove and the garden of seven leaves (banara plantations).
Dharma as loyal service: the searchers pursue Sītā with focused intention, using effort and method rather than despair.
The vānara troop climbs a prominent mountain and surveys/combines terrain-search with grove-by-grove inspection.
Bhakti to the entrusted cause (commitment to Rāma’s purpose) and niṣṭhā (single-minded resolve).
