Sugriva on Surveying the Earth’s Regions
himavantaṁ ca meruṁ ca samudraṁ ca tathottaram |
yadā na vindaṁ śaraṇaṁ vālinā samabhidrutaḥ ||
tadā māṁ buddhisampanno hanūmān vākyam abravīt |
'I saw Himavan and mount Meru on the north and the northern sea. Still pursued by Vali, I could not know where to go when wise Hanuman spoke to me these words:
Dharma values wise counsel at moments of fear: when strength fails, guidance rooted in knowledge and truth becomes protection.
After fleeing across the world’s famed landmarks and still finding no safe refuge from Vālī, Sugrīva is advised by Hanumān.
Hanumān’s wisdom and supportive leadership—offering timely, intelligent guidance.
