दूत्यम् / Hanuman’s Mediation and Lakshmana’s Appeal to Sugriva
स हि राज्यात्परिभ्रष्टः कृतवैरश्च वालिना।हृतदारो वने त्यक्तो भ्रात्रा विनिकृतो भृशम्।।
sa hi rājyāt paribhraṣṭaḥ kṛtavairaś ca vālinā | hṛtadāro vane tyakto bhrātrā vinikṛto bhṛśam ||
因为他已被逐出王国,婆林与他结怨为敌;其妻被夺,他被弃于林中——被亲兄弟深深加害。
'(In fact) seriously offended by his brother Vali who treated him like his enemy and expelled him from the kingdom. He is now abandoned in the forest, his wife hijacked.
Dharma is violated when power is used unjustly—especially within family; the verse frames Sugrīva’s suffering as a wrong that calls for righteous redress.
Hanumān explains Sugrīva’s plight—exile, loss of spouse, and betrayal by Vālin—to justify alliance and assistance.
Hanumān’s truthful disclosure (satya in reporting facts) and concern for justice for the oppressed.
