ताराविलापः
Tārā’s Lament over Vāli
अवस्थां पश्चिमां पश्य पितुः पुत्र सुदारुणाम्।सम्प्रसक्तस्य वैरस्य गतोऽन्तः पापकर्मणा।।
avasthāṃ paścimāṃ paśya pituḥ putra sudāruṇām | samprasaktasya vairasya gato 'ntaḥ pāpakarmaṇā ||
儿子啊,看看你父亲那可怕的最后下场:受仇恨驱使,他因罪业而落得如此结局。
'O son! you see the most terrific end of your father on whom enmity forced sinful deeds.
Unchecked enmity (vaira) can push a person into adharma; one must restrain hostility and act righteously to avoid ruinous consequences.
After Vāli is mortally wounded, Tārā addresses Aṅgada, urging him to look upon his father’s condition and understand the moral cause behind the tragedy.
Moral discernment and sobriety in crisis—Tārā frames grief through ethical causality, guiding Aṅgada toward mature understanding.
