Tārā’s Lament over Vāli
रुधिरोक्षितसर्वाङ्गं दृष्ट्वा विनिहतं पतिम्।उवाच तारा पिङ्गाक्षं पुत्रमङ्गदमङ्गना।।
rudhirokṣitasarvāṅgaṁ dṛṣṭvā vinihataṁ patim | uvāca tārā piṅgākṣaṁ putram aṅgadam aṅganā ||
塔拉夫人看到丈夫被杀,全身浸透鲜血,便对她那黄褐眼的儿子安伽达说话。
Turning to the body of her husband fully drenched in blood, thus spoke Tara to her tawny-eyed son Angada:
Dharma shifts toward responsibility after tragedy: the surviving family must face truth (satya) and act wisely for protection, continuity, and right conduct.
The narration transitions from describing Vāli’s slain body to Tārā beginning to address her son Aṅgada.
Maternal responsibility and steadiness—Tārā gathers herself to guide Aṅgada amid crisis.
