Ayodhya Return, Bridal Reception, and Bharata’s Departure
अभिवाद्याभिवाद्यांश्च सर्वा राजसुतास्तदा।स्वं स्वं गृहमथासाद्य कुबेरभवनोपमम्।।1.77.14।।गोभिर्धनैश्च धान्यैश्च तर्पयित्वा द्विजोत्तमान्।रेमिरे मुदिता: सर्वा भर्तृभि: सहिता रह:।।1.77.15।।
abhivādyābhivādyāṃś ca sarvā rāja-sutās tadā |
svaṃ svaṃ gṛham athāsādya kubera-bhavanopamam || 1.77.14 ||
go-bhir dhanaiś ca dhānyaiś ca tarpayitvā dvijottamān |
remire muditāḥ sarvā bhartṛbhiḥ sahitā rahaḥ || 1.77.15 ||
于是诸位公主一再向应受敬礼者致敬,随后各自进入自己的居所,那宅邸辉煌如财宝之神俱毗罗的宫殿。她们又以牛、财物与谷粮施赠,令最尊贵的婆罗门心满意足;继而众新娘欢喜安然,与夫君私下相伴。
With auspicious aricles in their hands, all the new brides who shone in silken apparelsimmediately went to temples and worshipped the family deities.
Dharma is gṛhastha balance: reverence to elders, charity to brāhmaṇas, and rightful marital companionship—prosperity is legitimized through generosity and proper conduct.
The brides enter their new residences, honor revered persons, give gifts to brāhmaṇas, and then enjoy conjugal life privately with their husbands.
Dāna (generosity) joined with ācāra (proper etiquette) and domestic harmony.
