कामधेनुसैन्यप्रादुर्भावः
Kamadhenu’s Forces, Visvamitra’s Austerities, and Vasishta’s Wrath
तस्याहुम्भारवाज्जाता: काम्भोजा रविसन्निभा:।ऊधसस्त्वथ सञ्जाता: पप्लवाश्शस्त्रपाणय:।।1.55.2।।योनिदेशाच्च यवनाश्शकृद्देशाच्छका स्तथा।रोमकूपेषु च म्लेच्छा हारीतास्सकिरातका:।।1.55.3।।
yonideśāc ca yavanāḥ śakṛddeśāc chakās tathā |
romakūpeṣu ca mlecchā hārītāḥ sakirātakāḥ || 1.55.3 ||
从她的腹胎之处生出夜婆那;从肛门之处亦生出释迦;又从皮肤的毛孔生出弥勒叉——并有诃利多与迦罗多同起。
"From her lowing Kambhojas bright like the Sun, from the udder Paplavas, weapons in hand, from the vagina Yavanas, from the anus Sakas, from the roots of the hair Mlecchas along with Kiratas and Haritas were born.
The episode frames Dharma as the protection of the righteous: forces arise to defend the sage’s rightful domain against unjust seizure. It also warns that adharma (covetous aggression) can provoke overwhelming consequences.
As Viśvāmitra’s aggression continues, extraordinary groups emerge (as described in the tradition) as part of the manifested defending host, expanding the scale of the conflict.
Vasiṣṭha’s legitimacy and spiritual protection are implied: his dharmic standing attracts invincible support, showing the safeguarding power surrounding a truthful and established sage.
