The Release of Ahalya and Indra’s Restoration
सा हि गौतमवाक्येन दुर्निरीक्ष्या बभूव ह।।।।त्रयाणामपि लोकानां यावद्रामस्य दर्शनम्।
sā hi gautamavākyena durnirīkṣyā babhūva ha |
trayāṇām api lokānāṃ yāvad rāmasya darśanam ||
因为因乔多摩之言,她变得不可见——纵使三界亦不能得见——直到罗摩现身之时。
By the words of Gautama, she became invisible to the three worlds till the appearance of Rama.
Dharma includes both consequence and restoration: a curse enforces moral order, yet it is bounded by time and fulfilled by the advent of righteous presence.
The text explains the condition of Ahalyā’s invisibility: she cannot be seen by any beings until Rāma arrives.
Rāma’s sanctifying presence—his darśana functions as a turning point that completes the moral arc toward release.
