दितेर्गर्भभङ्गो मरुत्प्रतिष्ठा च
Diti’s Severed Embryo and the स्थापना of the Maruts; Viśālā-nagara Lineage
तस्यान्तरं सोऽधिगम्य शक्रः परपुरंजयः । प्रविवेश दितेः कुक्षिं योगमैश्वरमास्थितः ॥
tasyāntaraṃ so'dhigamya śakraḥ parapuraṃjayaḥ | praviveśa diteḥ kukṣiṃ yogamaiśvaramāsthitaḥ ||
察觉到她誓戒中的那一丝破绽后,释迦罗(因陀罗),攻破敌城者,依凭其神圣的瑜伽威力,进入了底提(Diti)的胎中。
Here, 'Antaram' signifies a loophole, lapse, or interval in the strict observance of vows (Niyama). Diti's failure to maintain the correct posture while sleeping created an impurity that Indra exploited.
The epithet 'Parapuranjaya' (Conqueror of enemy cities) highlights Indra's strategic ruthlessness and ability to overcome threats to his dominion, even if it requires exploiting a subtle lapse in an opponent's spiritual defense.
