Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
पूर्वं कृतयुगे राम दिते: पुत्रा महाबला:।अदितेश्च महाभाग वीर्यवन्तस्सुधार्मिका:।।।।
pūrvaṃ kṛtayuge rāma diteḥ putrā mahābalāḥ | aditeś ca mahābhāga vīryavantaḥ sudhārmikāḥ ||
“在往昔的克利多时代,福德的罗摩啊,底提之子极其强大;阿底提之子则吉祥勇武,具大威力,坚住于正法。”
O Blessed Rama! in kritayuga, the sons of Diti were very strong and those of Aditi were spirited and righteous.
The verse contrasts mere power with dharmic strength: valor is praised when joined with righteousness (sudhārmikatā), implying that true excellence is power governed by dharma.
Viśvāmitra sets the mythic background in Kṛta Yuga, introducing the lineages of Diti and Aditi as key players in the coming account.
Dharmic valor—courage and strength grounded in righteousness (especially attributed to Aditi’s sons).
