विशालानगरीप्रवेशः
Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
श्रूयतां राम शक्रस्य कथां कथयतश्शुभाम्।अस्मिन् देशे तु यद्वृत्तं तदपि शृणु राघव।।।।
śrūyatāṃ rāma śakrasya kathāṃ kathayataḥ śubhām | asmin deśe tu yadvṛttaṃ tad api śṛṇu rāghava ||
“罗摩啊,请听我讲述天帝释迦(因陀罗)的吉祥传说;罗伽婆啊,也请听此地曾发生的诸事。”
"O Rama! hear the auspicious legend of Indra. Listen, too, what had happened to thiscountry.
Dharma is learned through sacred history: listening attentively to an instructive narrative is itself a discipline that cultivates discernment and commitment to truth (satya).
Viśvāmitra announces he will narrate Indra’s legend and the relevant events tied to the local land (connected with Viśālā).
The guru’s role as moral-historical guide (Viśvāmitra) and the student’s attentive readiness (Rāma).
