gaṅgā himavato jyeṣṭhā duhitā puruṣarṣabha | tasyāṃ kuru mahābāho pitṝṇāṃ tu jalakriyām ||

Translation

恒河（Gaṅgā）是喜马瓦特（Himavat）最年长的女儿。噢，人中雄者、臂力无双者——当以她的圣水，为先祖行洒水祭仪。
