Anshuman’s Search for the Horse and the Counsel to Bring Ganga
स चैवमब्रवीद्वाक्यं वैनतेयो महाबल :।मा शुच: पुरुषव्याघ्र वधोऽयं लोकसम्मत:।।।।
sa caivam abravīd vākyaṃ vainateyo mahābalaḥ | mā śucaḥ puruṣavyāghra vadho 'yaṃ lokasammataḥ ||
大力的毗那底耶便说道:“莫忧伤啊,人中之虎;此番毁灭为世间所认可,乃合乎天命、利于众生。”
Highly powerful Garuda, son of Vinata, addressing Anshuman said 'O Tiger among men! do not grieve. This act of assasination is meant for the welfare of the three worlds'.
Dharma includes trusting the larger moral-cosmic order: not all painful outcomes are meaningless; some serve a broader restoration of balance.
Garuḍa addresses Anśumān, consoling him about the princes’ fate and preparing him for the correct course of action.
Emotional steadiness (aśoka-like restraint): the ability to act wisely rather than be ruled by grief.
