कामाश्रम
प्रवेशः / Entry into Kāma’s Hermitage at the Sarayū–Gaṅgā Confluence
तस्यायमाश्रम: पुण्यस्तस्येमे मुनय: पुरा।शिष्या धर्मपरा नित्यं तेषां पापं न विद्यते।।।।
tasyāyam āśramaḥ puṇyas tasyeme munayaḥ purā |
śiṣyā dharmaparā nityaṃ teṣāṃ pāpaṃ na vidyate ||
此处便是他的圣洁道场,这些牟尼昔日皆为其弟子;他们恒常奉持达摩,故不见罪垢积聚于身。
This holy hermitage belongs to Kama. These ascetics are his disciples. They are always righteous and are free from sin.
Steady commitment to Dharma purifies conduct; disciplined spiritual life prevents the accumulation of pāpa (harmful moral residue).
Viśvāmitra identifies the hermitage and introduces the resident sages as disciplined disciples devoted to righteousness.
Dharmaniṣṭhā (steadfastness in righteousness) and śauca (purity) as embodied by the munis.
