大王,众民之主啊,愿你的女儿善多与其夫一同前来我的城中;因为一场宏大的祭仪已然发起。
O lord of people, O king, It has been decided to commence an important sacrificial rite. You may send your daughter Santa along with her husband to my city.
Dharma as duty-centered action: a king undertakes major Vedic rites for the welfare of the realm and seeks rightful support through family and allies.
Daśaratha requests Romapāda to send Śāntā and her husband to Ayodhyā for an important sacrificial undertaking (the forthcoming yajña).
Daśaratha’s clarity of purpose and adherence to lawful means—he asks respectfully rather than commanding.
