Unspecified (context-dependent within Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa narration)

Concept: Śravaṇa (hearing), pāṭha (recitation), and darśana of Viṣṇu-arcana are themselves merit-generating, because they connect the mind to Hari through sound and sight.

Application: Attend or host kīrtana/temple ārati; listen daily to Purāṇic kathā; cultivate ‘darśana-bhāva’ even through viewing sincere worship (in person or with reverence).

FAQs

It highlights recitation (pāṭha), attentive listening (śravaṇa), and seeing/participating in Vishnu’s worship (arcana), framed alongside devotional music and dance performed before Hari.

This is an epithet of Vishnu (often Krishna in related narratives), famed for subduing the demons Madhu, Mura, and Naraka.

The verse emphasizes sincere devotional engagement—hearing, reciting, and reverently witnessing worship—as spiritually efficacious acts when done “samyak,” i.e., properly and attentively.
