Suta (narrating the Narada Purana discourse tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It is a phala-śruti verse: it states that devoted worship (archana) of specific revered forms of Īśvara at sacred sites bestows extraordinary spiritual sovereignty—described as attaining the status of a “lord of worlds.”
The verse makes bhakti the decisive factor—“bhaktyā” (with devotion). The promised fruit is tied not merely to naming the shrines but to heartfelt worship, aligning with the Purāṇic emphasis that sincere devotion empowers ritual acts.
Ritual application is implied through proper archana (worship procedures)—a practical expression of Kalpa (ritual discipline). While no technical Vedāṅga is explicitly taught here, the verse presupposes correct worship conduct at tirthas.
