Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a pilgrimage becomes spiritually effective when begun with inner discipline, purity, and careful preparation, and when obstacles are removed through devoted worship—here, by honoring Gaṇeśa before setting out.
Bhakti is shown as practical and embodied: the pilgrim bows humbly and worships with devotion before the journey, making reverence and surrender the foundation of the sacred act.
Ritual procedure and conduct (kalpa-style discipline) are emphasized—maintaining śauca (purity), apramāda (alertness), and performing the proper preliminary worship before undertaking a religious rite like tīrtha-yātrā.
