Vasiṣṭha
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the inner turning-point where hearing powerful, captivating speech becomes the immediate cause for deep God-centered transformation—Vasu’s heart becomes absorbed in Govinda, marking the rise of mature bhakti.
The verse emphasizes śravaṇa (hearing) as a direct doorway to devotion: by hearing, the mind shifts from distraction to single-pointed absorption in Govinda, showing bhakti as an experiential immersion of the heart.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is the sādhana of śravaṇa—attentive listening to spiritually charged discourse—as a disciplined practice supporting bhakti.
