स्वाध्यायं प्राङ्मुखः कृत्वा तर्पयेद्देवमानवान् । ऋषीन्पितॄन्हि स्वीयांश्च विधिवन्नामगोत्रवित् ॥ ६१ ॥
svādhyāyaṃ prāṅmukhaḥ kṛtvā tarpayeddevamānavān | ṛṣīnpitṝnhi svīyāṃśca vidhivannāmagotravit || 61 ||
面向东方行持自诵(svādhyāya)之后,应作供水之礼(tarpaṇa),以水布施诸天与人众;亦当如法供养诸仙(ṛṣi)、祖灵(pitṛ)以及自家亡亲,明了其名号与氏族(gotra)而行。
