Pūjādi-kathana — Gaṅgā Vratas, Tenfold Worship, Stotra, and Mokṣa on the Riverbank
प्रणतार्तिप्रभंजिन्यै जगन्मात्रे नमोनमः । विलुषायै दुर्गहंत्र्यै दक्षायै ते नमोनमः ॥ ८१ ॥
praṇatārtiprabhaṃjinyai jaganmātre namonamaḥ | viluṣāyai durgahaṃtryai dakṣāyai te namonamaḥ || 81 ||
再三顶礼于你——摧破礼拜者苦恼者,宇宙之母。再三顶礼于你——名为毗卢萨者,诛灭“难越之堡”杜尔迦者,善巧而具大能者。
Narada (as a hymn of praise within the narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It presents the Goddess as Jagad-mātṛ (Mother of the cosmos) and as the compassionate power that specifically destroys the suffering of those who surrender—teaching that humility and devotion draw divine protection.
The repeated “namo namaḥ” models bhakti as continual surrender and remembrance; the devotee approaches the Devi not as an abstract principle but as a responsive Mother who removes obstacles and distress.
Primarily mantra-prayoga (practical use of hymns): the verse functions as a stuti for japa/recitation in worship, emphasizing correct devotional address through epithets—more aligned with ritual application than technical Vedanga instruction.
