The Discourse of Rukmāṅgada
Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma
स्वर्णदीसेवनं युक्तमथवा हरिपूजनम् । न कृतं यन्मया बाल्ये यौवने न कृतं च यत् ॥ ६१ ॥
svarṇadīsevanaṃ yuktamathavā haripūjanam | na kṛtaṃ yanmayā bālye yauvane na kṛtaṃ ca yat || 61 ||
在神圣的斯瓦尔纳迪河(Svarṇadī)行侍奉,或礼拜哈利主,确是应当之事;然而我在童年未曾行的、在青年亦未曾行的——那些被我荒废的本分,如今沉沉压在我心上。
Narada (narrative voice within the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha-mahatmya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights remorse for neglecting sacred duties—tirtha-sevana and Hari-puja—teaching that spiritual practice should be undertaken while life’s stages allow, not postponed until regret arises.
By placing “Hari-pūjana” as the central remedy and rightful practice, the verse frames devotion to Vishnu as a primary dharmic act whose neglect leads to inner suffering and whose performance is spiritually stabilizing.
Ritual discipline (kalpa-oriented practice) is implied: regular pūjā and tīrtha-sevā as structured acts of dharma, emphasizing timely observance and consistency rather than mere intention.
