Pleasure can mimic svarga (heaven) in intensity, but the Purāṇic tendency is to ask whether such joy is rooted in dharma (right relation, loyalty, inner steadiness) or merely sensory excitement.
Ākhyāna (illustrative narrative) used to introduce a dharmic discussion; not a direct sarga/manvantara/genealogy passage.
‘Heaven on the mountain’ hints at the mind’s capacity to project paradise through contact and imagination; the subsequent dialogue probes the hidden dissatisfaction within such projections.
