यथा च वर्णानसृजद्यद् गुणाश्च महामते ।
यच्च येषां स्मृतं कर्म विप्रादीनां वदस्व तत् ॥
yathā ca varṇān asṛjad yad guṇāś ca mahāmate / yac ca yeṣāṃ smṛtaṃ karma viprādīnāṃ vadasva tat
噢,心量宏大者,请阐明他如何创立诸种姓阶序(varṇa),以及与之相应的诸德性(guṇa)为何;并请叙述为他们所规定的传统职责(karma)——先从婆罗门说起。
