Adhyaya 28 — Madalasa's Teaching IV
गुरोः कर्मणि सोद्योगः सम्यक् प्रीत्युपपादनम् ।
तेनाहूतः पठेच्चैव तत्परो नान्यमानसः ॥
guroḥ karmaṇi sodyogaḥ samyak prītyupapādanam | tenāhūtaḥ paṭhec caiva tatparo nānyamānasaḥ ||
他应勤勉于师尊之事,善加成就师尊的欢喜。师尊召唤之时,当专一学习/诵读,唯系于此,不令他念杂起。

Learning is safeguarded by character: service, gratitude, and attentiveness are treated as prerequisites for receiving instruction and retaining it.

Single-pointedness (ekāgratā) is implied: the ‘no other mind’ instruction is a direct yogic cue—knowledge dawns when attention is not fragmented.
