अर्जुनो5हं महाराज व्यक्त ते श्रोत्रमागत: । भीमादवरज: पार्थो यमाभ्यां चापि पूर्वज:,महाराज! मैं ही अर्जुन हूँ। अवश्य मेरा नाम भी आपके कानोंमें पड़ा होगा। मैं कुन्तीदेवीका पुत्र हूँ। भीमसेनसे छोटा और नकुल-सहदेवसे बड़ा हूँ
arjuno’ham mahārāja vyaktaṃ te śrotram āgataḥ | bhīmād avarajaḥ pārtho yamābhyāṃ cāpi pūrvajaḥ ||
阿周那说道:“大王啊,我便是阿周那。想必我的名号早已清楚传入你的耳中。我是帕尔塔,贡蒂之子——年少于毗摩,却长于阿湿毗尼双神之双生子(那俱罗与娑诃提婆)。”
अर्जुन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic clarity in speech: when concealment is no longer required, one should state the truth plainly—grounding identity in lineage and responsibility rather than in disguise or fear.
In the Virāṭa episode, Arjuna discloses his true identity to the king, asserting that his fame should already be known and specifying his place among the Pāṇḍava brothers—junior to Bhīma and senior to the twins Nakula and Sahadeva.
