噢,民众之主啊,她被如此询问时,达摩延蒂便将一切经过,依其真实发生之状,按次第、无隐无妄地讲述给那猎人听——噢婆罗多(尤狄希提罗)啊。

The verse highlights satya (truthfulness) and clarity in speech: Damayantī recounts events 'yathāvṛttam'—exactly as they occurred—showing that truthful, orderly narration is itself a dharmic act, especially when one’s words may guide another’s response or compassion.
After being questioned by the hunter, Damayantī explains her entire situation in full detail. The storyteller (Bṛhadaśva) reports this to Yudhiṣṭhira, framing Damayantī’s truthful account as the next step in the unfolding Nala–Damayantī narrative.
