दमयन्त्याः अरण्यविहारः — Damayantī’s Passage through the Wilderness
पुष्करस्तु महाराज घोषयामास वै पुरे । नले य: सम्यगातिछेत् स गच्छेद् वध्यतां मम,महाराज! पुष्करने उस नगरमें यह घोषणा करा दी--डुग्गी पिटवा दी कि “जो नलके साथ अच्छा बर्ताव करेगा, वह मेरा वध्य होगा”
Puṣkaras tu mahārāja ghoṣayāmāsa vai pure | nale yaḥ samyag āticchet sa gacched vadhyatāṁ mama ||
布里哈达湿婆说道：“大王啊，补湿迦罗命人在城中遍行宣告：‘凡善待那罗者——凡对他施以应有敬礼者——皆当奉我之命处死。’”此言显出补湿迦罗因惧而生的残酷，以及他企图在社会上孤立那罗，把寻常的礼貌都变成可罚之罪。
