वैशम्पायन उवाच
Unchecked anger leads to adharma and regret; the verse highlights moral self-awareness (calling oneself ‘pāpa’) and the duty to seek reconciliation with the righteous, especially those who offer dharmic counsel like Vidura.
The speaker instructs Sañjaya to go and locate Vidura, whom he had angrily expelled. The question ‘is he still alive?’ conveys anxiety and remorse, indicating the court’s dependence on Vidura’s wisdom and the ethical weight of mistreating a virtuous elder.
