मार्कण्डेय उवाच
True insight is presented as threefold—seen, heard, and personally experienced—and its highest authority is grounded in divine grace; the listener is urged to receive it with attentive understanding, aligning knowledge with dharma.
Mārkaṇḍeya begins a formal narration to the king, announcing that he will recount extraordinary knowledge and experiences—connected with ancient tradition and direct revelation—bestowed through the favor of the Supreme Lord.
