अब्रवीच्च पुनर्भीम॑ रोषात् प्रस्फुरिताधर: । न मे मूढा दिश: पाप त्वदर्थ मे विलम्बितम्,उस समय रोषसे उसके ओठ फड़क रहे थे। उसने भीमसेनको उत्तर देते हुए कहा --ओ पापी! मुझे दिग्भ्रम नहीं हुआ था। मैंने तेरे ही लिये विलम्ब किया था
abravīc ca punar bhīma roṣāt prasphuritādharaḥ | na me mūḍhā diśaḥ pāpa tvad-arthaṃ me vilambitam ||
随即他怒火翻涌,双唇颤动,又对毗摩说道:“罪人啊!我并非迷失方向;我之所以迟延,只是为了你。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The speaker rejects a charge of incompetence (being lost) and reframes the act as intentional restraint done for another’s benefit, highlighting moral accountability: one should judge actions by intent and responsibility, not merely by outward delay.
In a tense exchange, the speaker—angered and visibly agitated—addresses Bhīma, denying any loss of direction and asserting that the delay occurred specifically for Bhīma’s sake, implying a prior accusation or impatience from Bhīma.
