Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharma expressed as reverence toward realized ascetics and recognition of venerable spiritual lineages; knowing and honoring such teachers is presented as part of ethical and religious conduct.

In the forest setting, the sage Lomaśa identifies and introduces to Yudhiṣṭhira the assembled ascetics, specifying prominent rishi-lineages—Bhṛgu, Aṅgiras, Vasiṣṭha, and Kāśyapa.
