ततस्ते पितुराज्ञाय दिक्षु सर्वासु तं हयम् । अमार्गन्त महाराज सर्व च पृथिवीतलम्,महाराज! तदनन्तर वे पिताकी आज्ञा ले इस सम्पूर्ण भूतलमें सभी दिशाओंमें अश्वकी खोज करने लगे। खोजते-खोजते सभी सगरपुत्र एक-दूसरेसे मिले, परंतु वे अश्व तथा अश्वहर्ताका पता न लगा सके
tataste piturājñayā dikṣu sarvāsu taṃ hayam | amārganta mahārāja sarvaṃ ca pṛthivītalam ||
于是，他们遵奉父命，伟大的王啊，向四方搜寻那匹马，踏遍大地的每一寸表面。然而，即便在搜寻途中彼此相遇，娑伽罗之子们仍未能发现祭马，也未能找出夺马之人——这表明热忱若缺乏明辨与正当手段，终究也可能徒劳无功。
