Transliteration

vedānekēna so 'dhīte surām ekēna cāpibat | ekena ca diśaḥ sarvāḥ pibann iva nirīkṣate |

Translation

沙利耶说道：“他以一口诵读吠陀；以一口饮酒；又以另一口凝视四方，仿佛要把诸方都饮尽。”此句描绘出令人不安的品行图景：外显的神圣学问与放纵、吞噬般的欲望并置，所显露的不是自律，而是伪善与失控的贪求。
